During Lent, Peter and Elspeth Davey will facilitate four sessions on the practice of Mindfulness. How does Mindfulness relate to the Christian tradition and where might this find a place in our own lives? Based on the practice of Zen master Thich Nhat Hahn, we will focus on how mindfulness can enrich and inform the Way of Jesus. Each evening will include simple experiential activities and opportunities to share, to help us become fully alive and awake to the ‘miracle of mindfulness’. These sessions are open to anyone and no previous experience of Mindfulness is required. Peter and Elspeth have facilitated a weekly evening of Mindfulness in their village of Cockburnspath for more than five years.
This is an Adventures in Faith event: booking £40 (£35) via cheque payable to Edinburgh Diocesan Synod, 21A Grosvenor Crescent, Edinburgh EH12 5EL.
