Bethany’s Befriending Service – Passing the Baton Training

You are invited to join Bethany Christian Trust’s ‘Passing the Baton’ befriending training to equip you to build meaningful connections with people who have previously been homeless or who are at risk of homelessness in Edinburgh.

This free training event is open to Church members who want to befriend people back into their community by demonstrating God’s love in action.

Bethany’s “Passing the Baton” programme trains and equips volunteers from local Churches to befriend people in Edinburgh. The training includes:

• Why are relationships important?

• How do I start the journey of befriending?

• What makes a good conversation?

• Listening to understand and support people

• Equipping people to change their thinking and behaviour

• Why do we need boundaries and confidentiality?

Join us for an inspiring morning together of learning and encouragement to develop your important role as a Befriender in the community.
