Webinar: Getting your church election-ready

29 January @ 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm

This webinar from the Scottish Churches Parliamentary Office (SCPO) and JPIT will help you and your congregation engage with the elections and the opportunities they provide, and will explain how voters should get ready to mark their mark.

Scotland will go to the polls in May to elect the next Scottish Parliament. Many churches have held succesful hustings in previous years for national elections. The Scottish Episcopal Church alongside the Church of Scotland, the SCPO and the Joint Public Issues Team are organising information for churches who wish to hold a hustings meeting, as well as information on how churches can engage with the election more widely.
On 29 January the SCPO and the JPIT will host a webinar sharing information on how to make sure members of your church are ready to vote on 7 May 2026. They write: “We’ll cover pre-election topics like how to hold hustings for your local candidates, as well as information about what you need to do to be able to vote on the day, and ideas for how your church can prayerfully support all those taking part in elections across the UK.”
