The Bishop of Edinburgh, The Rt Revd Dr John Armes, recently had the pleasure of participating in this year’s installation of Edinburgh’s Christmas Nativity scene, which was blessed by The Most Revd Archbishop Leo Cushley, Archbishop and Metropolitan of St Andrews and Edinburgh in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of St Andrews & Edinburgh.

Bishop John said: “It was a wonderful celebration that included prayers for the city, and involved Cllr Robert Aldridge, The Rt Hon Lord Provost and Lord Lieutenant of the City of Edinburgh, as well as The Revd Dr Peter Sutton from St Cuthbert’s Parish Church, Lothian Road, and The Revd Andrea Price of St Michael’s Parish Church, Slateford Road.

“Thank you also to the choirs of St Cuthbert’s and of Greyfriars Kirk, and to The Salvation Army, for leading beautiful carols.”
