As part of the Mission and Ministry Committee’s commitment to the learning, growth, and discipleship of every member of the Diocese, we have re-launched the much-loved Adventures in Faith model. Our aim and ethos has not changed, but how we share information and support has.

Until the autumn of 2017, the stated aim of Adventures in Faith was “Adventures in Faith is a hub of information, enabling and support for adult learning around the Diocese of Edinburgh; encouraging churches in the their discipleship programmes, sharing resources and good practice, and networking events across Edinburgh, the Borders, Falkirk, and the Lothians”.

We continue to provide support and guidance to congregations and individuals, seeking out and sharing suitable resources, alongside hosting events and courses for people to attend. Through it all, we hope to encourage everyone in the Diocese to explore, learn, and grow as disciples of Christ.

Previously, much information was shared by a quarterly hard-copy newsletter. The pace of life in the 2020s means that we need a shorter timeline for our newsletters, and so they will now be sent out via email, with PDFs being available to print, as required. We are also working closely with our Communications Officer to streamline how you access news, events, and resources via the Diocese website, so that it truly becomes a hub for spiritual and congregational growth.
