Exploring Faith Matters (EFM) offers a four-year programme where participants enrol for only one year at a time. This course is aimed at people who might have been walking the journey of faith for a while and would like to dive deeper theologically and spiritually. It is not an academic course or a book reading group – even though there will be reading which often is challenging and profound. But the focus is to allow Christians to interpret life and the world from a theological perspective in a better and more profound way. This is achieved through theological reflection, which forms the centre piece of the programme.
If you are a newcomer to EFM, you will start in Year 1 of the programme, which focuses on the Hebrew Scriptures/Old Testament.
Every week features assigned readings from the Scriptures and theological texts. Then, every Monday we gather from 6.45 – 8.30pm in the Cornerstone Centre at St John’s to share our thoughts, ideas, and questions. The course runs from 23 September until June next year.
