The Nicene Creed: Then and Now

20 October @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Free
We regularly say the Nicene Creed in our worship, but where does it come from and why does it matter today? The Council of Nicea took place in 325 AD. Next year is 1,700 years since Constantine called the council to settle a fierce debate that threatened Christian unity.
Panel chaired by Rev Nick Wills
Speakers:
J Sidaway: Nicea and the role of Constantine
JW Peterson: The Da Vinci Code and the Biblical Canon at Nicea
Rt Rev Donald Allister: We need creeds, Nicea for today
All welcome!
