Speaking Truth to Power: Dorothy Day – Christian Activist

An Evening with Martha and Kate Hennessy –  Granddaughters of Dorothy Day. Dorothy was an iconic twentieth-century Christian Activist in the fields of social justice, workers’ rights, non-violence, agricultural reform and advancing the rights of the poor and marginalised.

Kate is an American writer and published author. Her book, Dorothy Day: The World Will Be Saved By Beauty: An Intimate Portrait of My Grandmother was the best spiritual writing of 2017 according to the Chicago Tribune. It won a Christopher Award

The two will speak for 50 minutes and there will be opportunity for questions and discussion, followed by wine and cheese.
